Pictured is a memorial plaque for Guglielmo Oberdan in the courtyard of the d'Accursio Palace in Bologna, Italy. Guglielmo Oberdanwas born February 1, 1858 and died in December 20, 1882. He was executed after a failed attempt to assassinate Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph, becoming a martyr of the Italian unification movement. He was an Italian irredentist.
