The bone marrow aspirate shows numerous abnormal promyelocytes with prominent cytoplasmic granules, characteristic of hypergranular acute promyelocytic leukemia. Some of these cells exhibit reniform or bilobed nuclei, and several cells contain multiple Auer rods.
