The Jarrow, South, side of the Pedestrian Tyne Tunnel. Two tunnels run parallel to each other from Jarrow to Howdon. One tunnel is for Pedestrians, the other used by cyclists. There is a lift at both ends, and two long wooden escalators at each end too. This is the point where the shorter tunnel from the lift meets the main pedestrian tunnel. |
