Spiraea saliifolia L. is a plant of Spiraea saliifolia L. in Rosaceae. Erect shrub, 1-2 m high; dense branches, slightly angular branchlets, yellowish brown, tender branches pubescent, shedding when old; winter buds ovate or oblong ovate, apex acute, several Brown exserted scales, covered with sparse pubescence. Leaf blade oblong lanceolate to lanceolate, 4-8 cm long, 1-2.5 cm wide. Inflorescence is oblong or pyramidal panicle, 6-13 cm long, 3-5 cm in diameter, finely pubescent, with dense flowers. Follicles erect, glabrous or pubescent along ventral suture, style terminal, obliquely spreading, often with reflexed sepals. The flowering period is from June to August, and the fruit period is from August to September. It is distributed in China, Mongolia, Japan, Korea, Siberia, Russia and Southeast Europe. In China, it is distributed in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia and Hebei. It grows along the river bank, wet grassland, open land and gully at an altitude of 200-900 meters.It is a good ornamental plant and nectar plant in garden. It is an ideal hedge material and ornamental shrub.
