Bath is a Unesco World Heritage Site, world famous for historic buildings and as a tourist destination. Bath features such Grade 1 listed buildings as the Royal Crescent, The Circus, Queen Square and the Roman Baths. Bath was originally founded by the Romans, and was known as Aquae Sulis. The Roman Baths today, restored in the Victorian period, attract thousands of visitors. Bath is a city of culture, with venues such as The Forum and Komedia where music and concerts take place. Bath Rugby, one of the top rugby union premiership clubs in the country, also play their matches in Bath at the Recreation Ground.
