Antique Pool (Pool Cleopatra) was built by the Romans in Hierapolis (now Pamukkale, Turkey) on the site of a geothermal source of mineral water. The pool was surrounded by a portico, which was destroyed by an earthquake in VII century. Columns of other elements classical designs currently lie on the bottom of the pool. |
