| The Heritage Bridge constructed in 1999 to provide access to Old Salem from the visitor center. Old Salem, located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, was founded in 1766 by the Moraviansââ¬âa Protestant religious group that first organized in what is now known as the Czech Republic in the 15th century. About three-quarters of the Historic Town buildings are original structures. |
