| The Hasard Coal Mine in Cheratte was the most important mine in the Liège region and had four mine shafts. The mine is located in Cheratte, a sub-municipality of the Belgian city of Wezet (French: Visé) located in the province of Liège. The mine was the main supplier of coal for the city of Paris and from Cheratte the coal was first transported to Paris by boat and later by train. |
