| The Avenger was designed for use by the Navy and Marine Corps. It was introduced in 1942 and continued on in various forms until the 1960`s. It could carry a torpedo or a conventional bomb. The crew consisted of the pilot, radio man/bombardier/ventral gunner, and rear turret gunner. |
