| Netherlands, province Limburg, Gronsveld village, municipality Eijsden-Margraten. Blossom Tree for the tower mill. This early 17th century mill was built by Earl Van Bronckhorst, Lord of Gronsveld. The fuselage was cemented by master Nicolaes Peri and the working windmill built by millwright Otten. This monumental building is a monument on the list of the country and is unique, because there are only five of this type in the Netherlands. This mill is still in use, ground into wheat. This historic building is a landmark, cultural heritage, a national monument, tourist attraction and one of the top one hundred of the Dutch UNESCO monuments. |
