| Our lungwort is popularly called Hänsl and Gretl because it has pink and blue flowers at the same time. The pink flower is the young, fresh flower and the blue flower is the aging flower. Anyone who observes bees or bumblebees will notice that they primarily seek out the pink flowers. As the name suggests, the lungwort was used for respiratory problems, coughs and colds.
