This is a Summer picture of Greenstone Church in Pullman Town located in Chicago, Illinois in Cook Coumty. George Pullman had the church built to serve all denominations in his planned industrial town, the name Greenstone is reference to the color of the Serpentine Limestone quarried in Pennsylvania used to construct he Church, the church was designed by Solon Spencer Beman, it was intended to serve all denominations, the church was consecrated in 1881. The church is a contributing property to the Pullman Histoeic District which was added to the National Register of Histoeic Places on October 8, 1969. This picture was taken on July 29, 2017.
