Celery or Apium graveolens L. is a leaf vegetable and medicinal plant which is usually used as a cooking spice. Several countries including Japan, China and Korea use the leaf stalks as a food ingredient. In Indonesia, this plant was introduced by the Dutch colonialists and the leaves were used to flavor soup or as a salad.
