This Venetian Clock Tower, or “Horoskopeion”, was constructed by the citizens of Preveza under Proveditor Alessandro Guiseppe Semitecolo (1789-1791), completed in 1792. The rectangular tower rises on top of a square-shaped pyramid base and has four levels. A clock is installed on the western, southern, and eastern sides of the tower. A sundial (made by Leonidas Kontakis) is placed above the entrance. Limestone was used for the edges of the building and the window/door frames (Venetian influence).
