The Kephart Prong trail takes the hiker to Newfound Gap, the dividing line between North Carolina and Tennessee. The one way trip is 8.8 mile , so start your hike early and enjoy many sights along the way. Most of the trails in the park were established by Horace Kephart as well as one of the people who help in the making of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. |
