| A Great Blue Heron surveys it's surroundings from it's nest in the heronry. These birds are more commonly seen standing along shorelines as the wait for prey. They nest in colonies in the treetops. This image was captured with a Canon T3i and Tamron 150-600mm lens in Polk City, Iowa. |
