| One of the first buildings to open on Gran VÃa Madrid. Located close to Calle Alcalá, it is number one and is one of the most beautiful and eclectic buildings on this avenue. With a belle epoque feel, it was designed by the Spanish architect Eladio Laredo y Carranza. It acquired the name by which we know it in 1953, when Alejandro Grassy founded his elitist jewellery store, which has seen celebrities such as Ava Gardner and Luis Miguel DominguÃn walk through its interior, decorated with Italian stucco. The use of large advertisements on the façade also contributed to its popularity in this way. |
