| This image shows a band of blueish grey banded Lewisian Gneiss from left to right about the middle and lower section of the image. This has an intrusion of pink granite running through the centre of it. The granite is also above and below the section of gneiss. At the far left on the bottom half of the image is another granite intrusion. The black background is part of a dolerite - part of the Scourie Dykes. This image was taken at the side of the A894 road in North West Scotland, between Laxford Bridge and Rhiconich. |
