| The German Fountain is located in the northern end of the old hippodrome in Istanbul, Turkey. It is gazebo styled and has an octagonal dome with eight marble columns. It was constructed to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of German Emperor Wilhelm II`s visit to Istanbul in 1898. The pieces were created in Germany and transported to its current site where it was assembled. |
