In 1937, the SS build a concentration camp just a few kilometres from Weimar. The camp’s name – “Buchenwald” – becomes a synonym for the Nazi terror. The motto display at the entrace `Jedem das Seine` is a German proverb and means `to each his own` or `to each what he deserves`.
