| Fort Defiance was one of the last garrisoned stockade forts constructed in territorial Wisconsin. It was located approximately five miles southeast of Mineral Point, Wisconsin. There are no visible remains. Just this marker and a beautiful field of golden wheat and purple wildflowers. |
