| The Peoples Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison is a garrison of the Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) of the Peoples Republic of China, responsible for defense duties of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region since the sovereignty of Hong Kong was returned to the PRC in 1997. Although they keep a very low profile and rarely seen by local citizens, there will be a one or two days of open-house event each year, during which some garrisons will be opened to public visit, perform military bands and display weapons and soldiersââ¬â¢ living quarters. |
