| Jaisalmer Fort is one of the largest and most well-preserved fortified cities in the world. It is located in the city of Jaisalmer, in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is a World Heritage Site and was built in 1156 by the ruler Rajput Rawal Jaisal, hence its name.
