The water tower was built in Weston Woods in 1925 to supply houses in Worlebury. There is also a Radio Mast. On the wall nearby is a `Blue Plaque` unveiled on 20th August 2020 to mark the night the future US president Dwight Eisenhower slept in a Caravan, in these woods. General Eisenhower stayed only one night en-route to the D-day landings as part of his role as Supreme Allied Commander Europe
