Common Spotted Orchid - Dachtyloriza Fuschii - In a British Wild Flower Meadow. This is the UK`s Most Common Orchid. Its Dark to pale pink or purple flowers grace many a meadow, woodland or wetland June through to August. The flowers are densely packed in cone-shaped clusters. Its basal leaves are marked with dark oval -shaped spots, with narrow leaves sheathing its stem. Growing on chalky soils it is often seen forming dense carpets of flowers in each passing year. Wonderful to behold.
