The Friedrich bridge is located in the Mitte district of Berlin and spans the River Spree in the course of Bodestraße. The bridge acts as part of the overall exploration and transport plan for the World Heritage Museum Island and is intended only as Footbridge. It was repaired and supplemented. The bridge and road profile has been widened in order to regain the original reference of the construction of the colonnade of the New Museum and the National Gallery again. The Friedrichsbrücke has functionally and architecturally as entrance building to as the sanctuary of science and art designed Museum Island.
