| This is a Winter picture of the iconic Fountain of Time located in the Washington Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois in Cook County. This 126 foot 10 inch sculpture/Fountain was the work of Lorado Taft, he wanted to sculpt it out of granite or marble but because of funding had to settle for concrete, it was completed in 1920. This fountain/sculpture is a contributing property to the Washington spark Historic District which was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 20, 2004. This picture was taken on February 25, 2018. |
