| Pictured is the restored Fountain of the Marine Engineers in Piazza Colombo. It was moved there Ponte Real in 1861 to embellish the new nineteenth-century piazza built by the architect Resasco. The tank was designed in 1643 by Pier Antonio and Ottavio Corradi and built by Giambattista Garre. The four upside-down dolphins are by GB Orsolino while the winged statue, an allegory of fame added in 1673, was sculpted by Jacopo Garvo. |
