To defend Czechoslovakia against the attack from Nazi Germany, Austria and Hungary, a massive defensive wall was built around the entire border of the republic in the second half of the 1930s, which also included a line around Slavonice in the JindÃ

¯v Hradec region.
The area is an example of a part of the defensive fortress line, consisting of a system of observation and firing shooting intersections, anti-infantry and anti-tank obstacles in the length of almost 200 m and 11 reconstructed bunkers vz. 37 asparagus to the state from the period of mobilization in September 1938 and to the state of socialist reactivation in the years of the Cold War 1949 - 1989.
