Pictured is the Forte de Sao Francisco Xavier on the Atlantic Ocean near the mouth of the Rio Douro in Porto, Portugal. It is also called the Castelo do Queijo or Castle of Cheese. It was designed by Miguel I`Ecole and built in 1661. On 26 April 1961, the site was included in the Special Protection Zone. The 7th of January 2009 it received the maritime promenade and Avenida de Montevideu designation.
