Common Pochard. (Aythya ferina). It generally feeds at night. Its typical feeding behavior is diving. However, it has sometimes been observed that they try to feed from the surface of the water. It feeds on leaves, stems and roots of aquatic plants. It also feeds on insects, larvae, snails, worms, crustaceans, frogs and small fish.
