The perennials have a mat-forming habit and reach heights of 2 to 4 centimetres. Sempervivum minutum is evergreen. The bluish green, simple leaves are in rosettes. They are lanceolate, ciliate and sessile. Sempervivum minutum produces cymes of pink many-stellate flowers from June to August.
