Cymbidium ensifolium (L.) Sw. is a native plant of the Orchidaceae family. False bulbs are ovoid in shape and are enclosed within the leaf base. Leaves 2-6, ribbon shaped, glossy, 30-60 cm long, 1-2.5 cm wide. The scape originates from the base of the false bulb, standing upright and generally shorter than the leaves. The inflorescence has 3-9 flowers. Flowers often have a fragrance and a significant color change, usually light yellow green with purple spots. Petals narrowly elliptical or narrowly ovate elliptical, 1.5-2.4 cm long, 5-8 mm wide, nearly spreading. The capsule is narrowly elliptical, measuring 5-6 centimeters in length and approximately 2 centimeters in width. The flowering period is usually from June to October.
