| Calliandra Surinamensis is a deciduous shrub or small tree of the Mimosaceae family and the Rosaceae genus. Its biggest feature is that it consists of more than ten to twenty flowers forming a head like inflorescence. When it blooms, the filaments of most stamens are long and prominent, forming a circular fan shape, very similar to the powder puff used by ladies for makeup, hence the name Powder Puff Flower. |
