The Drenthe Heath Sheep (Drents Heideschaap, Dutch) is a domesticated breed of sheep originating in the Netherlands. It is raised primarily for vegetation management.[1] It is the oldest sheep breed in Western-Europe. It was most likely introduced from France to the Netherlands some 6000 years ago, in particular to the province of Drenthe.
