A flock of Greater Flamingos or in Latin Phoenicopterus roseus are photographed wading in the clear, blue water of the Guadalquivir on the border of the La Algaida or Donana area. These very tall wading birds exhibit the species characteristic pale pink to white plumage, bright pink legs, and unique large, downturned bills used for filter feeding. They stand close to the dense, vibrant green and rust-colored marsh vegetation that lines the background bank.
