| Lauwersoog is the home port of many trawling fleets and in addition to the fish auction, it also accommodates the largest shrimp auction in the Netherlands. The Wadden Sea is home to large numbers of shrimp which are landed and graded here. In addition to Dutch-based trawlers, there are many other vessels sailing under the Danish, German and UK flags in Lauwersoog. |
