| Fischerhude is a town on the Wümme river in Lower-Saxony, Germany, famous for its artists' colony founded at the beginning of the 19th century. Artists living there were: Heinrich Breling, Wilhelm Heinrich Rohmeyer, Otto Modersohn, Hans Buch, Clara Rilke-Westhoff, Helmuth Westhoff, Karl Gerstberger, Diedrich Speckmann, Amelie Breling, Jan Bontjes van Beek. Fischerhude is full of traditional thatched roof houses. |
