Female Bobolink Perched on a Stalk of Grass

It is very rare to get this close to a bobolink. For a long time all I ever got were glimpse of them flying off into the distance. On this day at Altamaha Wildlife Management Area I got very close to a male and a female. Both were engrossed in feeding on the ripe grass seeds. These are small birds but I am still amazed they can perch on a stalk of grass
