Summer landscape evokes admiration by cheerful rich colors of nature and bright sunlight, inspire for the best and fill the soul with pleasure and joy. In the background there is the Church of Michael of Tver built in 2002 in honor of the Mikhail, the Grand Prince of Tver. He was one of the most beloved of medieval Russian rulers. Now he conered to be a heavenly patron of the city. Located 180 kilometres northwest of Moscow, Tver was formerly the capital of a powerful medieval state and a model provincial town in the Russian Empire, with a population of 60,000 in1913. The town was established in XII century at the confluence of the Volga River with Tmaka River and downstream with Tvertsa River. The city was known as Kalinin from 1931 to 1990.
