| Originally the site of medieval house built in Norman times, this house was rebuilt on a grander scale in the early 1700`s. It was enlarged between 1793 - 1833 with further major transformations between 1851 - 60. Unfortunately a massive fire destroyed most of the house in 1937 and it has never been occupied since. Restoration has been ongoing since 1972. |
