The Fagaras Fortress was initially built of wood, and in 1539 it was partially reconstructed. After reconstruction, Transylvanian noblemen and princes such as Baltazar Bathori, Csaki Istvan, Bethlen Gabor, but also Wallachian ruling prince Michael the Brave, owned the fortress.
