| Mafai with the cat in the ground floor of the new exhibition space of Palazzo Merulana on the Esquiline Hill in Rome, Italy. The sculpture by Antonietta Raphael dates from 1942. The hall in the ground floor is free of charge for visitors and houses a bookshop and a coffee to enjoy a pleasant break surrounded by artworks of Antonietta Raphael, Lucio Fontana, Pericle Fazzini, Giuseppe Penone, and many other artists. The former Health Department of Rome houses now a collection composed mainly of works of the Roman school and the Italian twentieth century with openness towards contemporary art, part of the Elena and Claudio Cerasi collection. |
