Grand Old Opry star Ernest Tubb opened his record shop in 1947 and moved to this location (417 Broadway), across from the Ryman Theater, in 1951. The Midnight Jamboree radio show ran here from 1951 to 1976 and introduced listeners to many important country artists. This photo was taken only a few months before the building and store were sold in Spring 2022. |
