Rotterdam is the second-largest city in the Netherlands and one of the largest ports in the world. The Erasmus Bridge provides the link between the northern bank of the river Nieuwe Maas and the Kop van Zuid. Because of the elegant twist in the pylon, the bridge is also called de Zwaan (the Swan).
