Epilobium roseum, commonly known as pale willowherb, is primarily used in traditional medicine for treating prostate, bladder, and hormone disorders, along with skin irritations, burns, and ulcers. Extracts contain antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds, such as ellagitannins like oenothein B, which are responsible for its therapeutic properties. The plant is also cultivated for its ornamental value in gardens and serves as a food source for the caterpillars of some moth species.
