Elephant Lake scenic area is located in the west suburb of Nanchang, Jiangxi. It is a picturesque tourist attraction. Elephant Lake is composed of Nanjiang, Beijiang, Dongjiang, Xijiang and Qingshan lakes. Its plan is quite similar to an elephant, so it is named `Elephant Lake`. The site is located in the palace area, like an island in the lake, a total area of about 60 acres, known as the `blessing island`. The building area of about 4600 square meters on the island is the primary school of the Taoist holy land, the Nanchang Wanshou Palace, which is noticeable as a pearl inlaid on the whole Elephant Lake Scenic Area and is also known as the saint in the scenery. The Elephant Lake scenic area combines ecological protection, recreation entertainment, tourism, water sports and fishing, religious culture and other functions in one, with Chinese classical garden style.
