The Brouwersdam, in the province Zealand,is a construction of the Delta Works, a series of construction projects to protect a large area of land from the north sea. The Delta Works have been declared one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers. The dam is not only for protection, but also for recreation. Older people are biking on this dam and enjoy the view over the sea, the beach and sunbathers.
