This is the Century Theatre located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois. The theater open on July 30, 1925 as the Diversey Theatre. It was designed by Edward Eichenbaum, is an example of the Spanish Baroque style of architecture, and had 3,000 seats. In 1930 it was purchased by Balaban and Katz and renamed The Century in honor of the Century of Progress World's Fair held in Chicago. In 1970 the grand theater was purchased, gutted, and transformed into a seven story vertical theater. This picture was taken on November 26, 2014.
