| View of the Ecce Homo arch on Via Dolorosa, in the Muslim Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, Israel. Traditionally the arch was the location of Pontius Pilateââ¬â¢s Ecce speech, reported by the Bible. But, due to archaeological investigations, today we know the arch is a triple-arched gateway built by Hadrian as an entrance to the eastern Forum of Aelia Capitolina. RAW file available. |
